Description

This 1978 Ford Bronco XLT Ranger was purchased by the current owner in 2021 and subsequently refurbished with work including repainting the body Candyapple Red and Wimbledon White, refreshing the brakes and suspension, and installing a Weiand intake manifold, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an electronic ignition system, and a dual exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers. The truck is powered by a 400ci V8 linked to a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case, and additional equipment includes red cloth and vinyl upholstery, a tilt steering column, cruise control, and an AM/FM radio in addition to a swing-away spare tire carrier, 15″ white-painted steel wheels, power steering and brakes, and chrome bumpers. This Bronco Ranger is now offered on dealer consignment in New York with a Deluxe Marti Report and a clean Utah title.The truck left the factory finished in Candyapple Red and Wimbledon White and was repainted as part of a refurbishment reportedly completed in 2022. Exterior features include a swing-away rear tire carrier, a bright grille, a rear receiver hitch, chrome bumpers, Western-style side mirrors, and a removable white fiberglass hardtop with sliding side windows. Additional work completed under current ownership reportedly includes replacing the weather seals and windshield along with installing a passenger side-exiting exhaust system with dual Magnaflow mufflers.The white-painted 15″ steel wheels wear 33×12.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 white-letter tires. Factory equipment includes power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums, manually locking front hubs, and dual front shocks on each side. According to the selling dealer, work completed under current ownership included replacing the shocks, front coil springs, front brake rotors and pads, rear brake shoes, and brake lines.The split front and folding rear bench seats are upholstered in red vinyl and patterned cloth, and faux woodgrain trim lines the door panels and dashboard. Additional features include a heater, a floor-mounted transfer case selector, cruise control, and an AM/FM radio.The two-spoke steering wheel features woodgrain trim and is mounted to a tilt steering column. Instrumentation includes a 90-mph speedometer and readouts for oil pressure, fuel level, amperage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows under 17k miles, approximately 50 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.The 400ci V8 was serviced as part of the refurbishment completed under previous ownership. Work reportedly included installing a Weiand intake manifold, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and an electronic ignition system along with replacing the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, ignition wires, and fuel lines.Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. A rear limited-slip differential was installed from the factory.
