This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS sport coupe left the factory equipped with a 402ci L78 V8, and work in 2025 included installing a 441ci LS-based crate V8 that is fitted with a FAST 102mm intake manifold, Holley Terminator EFI, a serpentine accessory drive setup, and long-tube headers. Power is routed through a TCI 4L80 four-speed automatic linked with a modified 12-bolt rear axle, and the car rides on adjustable Ridetech coilovers and 18″ Forgeline wheels that are mounted over hydroboosted Wilwood disc brakes. The exterior is finished in red with black stripes, and the cabin is outfitted with air conditioning, a tilting Lecarra steering wheel, Dakota Digital instrumentation, a billet shifter, an Alpine head unit, and red vinyl TMI Products front bucket seats.
The car is finished in red with black rally stripes and features a split black grille and taillight panel, chrome bumpers and wheel arch moldings, LED lighting, a Detroit Speed wiper assembly, and a domed hood.
Black Forgeline 18″ wheels are mounted with 245/40 Nitto NT01 competition tires up front along with 305/35 Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S rubber out back. The car is equipped with power steering, tubular control arms, front and rear sway bars, and Ridetech coilovers. Braking is handled by hydroboosted disc brakes with Wilwood calipers and drilled/slotted rotors at all four corners.
TMI Products front bucket seats are trimmed in red vinyl and are joined by a color-matching rear bench and carpets. Equipment includes a Motion Raceworks billet shifter, cupholders, Classic Auto Air climate control, and an Alpine Bluetooth head unit linked to Arc Audio speakers. An Optima battery and a kill switch are mounted in the trunk.
The tilting Lecarra steering wheel frames factory-style Dakota Digital instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and supplementary readouts. The five-digit odometer shows ~900 miles, which is said to represent the mileage added since the completion of the build.
