This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette has had the exterior refinished in metallic beige in 2009. Work under current ownership has involved adding an aftermarket stereo, overhauling the suspension, and, in 2022, installing a Chevrolet Performance 350/357 V8 crate engine. Additional equipment includes a removable hardtop, a white soft top, 15″ steel wheels, long-tube exhaust headers, and an aftermarket exhaust system.
The body was stripped, waves were removed, and it was refinished in metallic beige in 2009. It is equipped with a matching removable hardtop, a white soft top, and quad headlights, and polished bumpers and trim. The front bumpers were replaced and the rear bumpers were re-chromed in 2015.
The 15″ steel wheels feature simulated knock-off spinner covers and are mounted with whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums. The front and rear suspension were rebuilt in 2009.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl. Interior equipment includes a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a heater, a Custom Autosound stereo, aftermarket speakers, and an analog clock.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The speedometer was rebuilt in 2009. The five-digit odometer shows 18k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership.
A Chevrolet Performance 350/357 V8 crate engine was installed in 2022 and is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor, finned-aluminum valve covers, and long-tube exhaust headers.
The four-speed manual transmission was rebuilt in October 2022 and, and the clutch and flywheel were also replaced. An aftermarket exhaust system is fitted.
