1974 Porsche 911 Targa. Subsequent recommissioning included replacing the pistons and cylinders, clutch, fuel injectors, transaxle synchros, brake master cylinder, and tires along with installing Koni shocks, refinishing the wheels, and refreshing the brakes and suspension. The car is powered by a 2.7-liter flat-six mated to a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Light Yellow over black leatherette upholstery. Equipment includes 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels, a black removable roof panel, a brushed Targa bar, body-color bumpers, front bucket seats, and a heated rear window. This mid-year 911 is now offered with the owner’s manual, records from the recent service, and a clean title.
The car was finished from the factory in Light Yellow and was repainted approximately 25 years ago, while the rocker panels were repaired and refinished in 2025. The hood seal, rear glass seal, and hood strut were also replaced at that time and paintless dent repair was performed. Additional equipment includes a black removable roof panel, a brushed Targa bar, bright headlight trim rings, and body-color impact bumpers.
The 15″ silver and black Fuchs forged alloy wheels were refinished and mounted with 185/70 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires in 2025, and Koni shocks were installed. Additional work involved rebuilding the brake calipers and replacing the brake master cylinder, brake hoses, sway bar bushings, tie rod ends, and ball joints.
Black leatherette upholstery covers the front bucket seats, folding rear seats, and side panels. The floor board, accelerator pedal, and turn signal switch were replaced during the refresh, and the air conditioning system was removed.
The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation that consists of a 150-mph speedometer, a centrally mounted tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 67k miles.
The 2.7-liter flat-six features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 143 horsepower and 168 lb-ft of torque. Work performed in 2025 involved installing a used set of pistons and cylinders as well as replacing the timing chain and tensioner, oil lines, battery, fuel injectors, spark plugs, and gaskets. The fuel pump, warm up regulator, and distributor were also rebuilt.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle, which was disassembled and fitted with replacement synchro rings and gaskets in 2025. The flywheel was resurfaced and the clutch cable and rear CV axle boots were replaced at that time.
