This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible is finished in Colonial Creme over yellow and silver vinyl upholstery, and it is powered by a 283ci V8 paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Equipment includes a Carter four-barrel carburetor, Power Pack cylinder heads, 14” wheels, rear fender skirts, a power-operated black soft top, power steering and brakes, a stainless steel exhaust system, and an aftermarket retro-style radio.
Finished from the factory in Colonial Creme (800), the car was reportedly repainted under previous ownership. Exterior details include a black power-operated convertible top with a zip-down rear window as well as a Continental spare tire kit, bright trim, gold-finished Bel Air logos, hooded headlights, twin wind splits, styled tailfins, rear fender skirts, and dual mirrors and antennas. Blemishes in the paint on the driver’s door as well as de-lamination at the bottom of the windshield can be viewed in the gallery below.
Body-color 14” wheels wear spinner-style full covers and are mounted with 205/75 BFGoodrich Silvertown wide-whitewall tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted drums at all four corners. The seller notes a power steering fluid leak.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats trimmed in yellow vinyl with silver inserts as well as color-coordinated door panels and black carpeting. Bright trim accents a black metal dash, and additional appointments include an under-dash tissue box holder, a clock, Bel Air-branded carpeted floor mats, and an aftermarket retro-style stereo with an auxiliary input.
The two-spoke steering wheel wears a chrome horn ring and frames a 120-mph speedometer flanked by gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 283ci V8 was factory-rated at 220 horsepower and is equipped with a Carter four-barrel carburetor, Power Pack cylinder heads, and a dual exhaust system. An oil change was performed in December 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The car is equipped with a stainless steel dual exhaust system. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.
